Has the previous owner gone to another "home" or died; I find these empty rooms, which I come across on property websites, raise these questions and are very sad spaces. We will all leave behind carefully chosen and matched carpet and curtains at some point, together with discoloured rectangles and squares on the walls where once our treasured pictures hung.
