1978 the Marquess and Marchioness of Tavistock with their son, Jamie, 3, with the first ever Aston Martin Lagonda car, delivered to their home at Woburn Abbey, near Aston's then factory at Newport Pagnell. It was the marchioness's wedding anniversary gift to her husband.
Behind the smiles was a farcical situation: the car didn't actually work, and was delivered for its photo call on a low-loader. The amazing looking Lagonda developed a well deserved reputation for unreliability for ever more.
However, I love this Concorde-era motor car, they evoke much of what the 1970s were about - the good (design) and the bad (reliability).
