A Stately Old Girl
Here are a couple of stately old girls from the 70s; Rolls Royce Silver Shadows. I have a soft spot for these old Rolls, the top picture is in Piccadilly, London and the one below is a picture of a young Bowlzee (look at those legs - heavens above!) which was taken by my uncle, the motoring journalist Gordon Wilkins, in I think (looking at those legs) 1974. Anyway, always worth a revisit, the majestic Silver Shadow, I think. Enjoy!

Dear Bowlzee!
ReplyDeleteI think I bought the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow which belonged to your uncle Gordon Wilkins! It might be the one on the picture above but the license plate shows a different number - the one of your uncle's Rolls was OTU43P! And - your uncle bought my Rolls in 1978, so the year also doesn't match. Did he have another one before? With 100 LG as his license plate? Could we get in contact? I'd like to hear from you, and also stories about your famous uncle!
Kind regards, Christoph Vohler, Munich, Germany
